The Coal Creek Canyon Improvement Association (CCCIA) hosts its Coal Creek Canyon Flood 1st Anniversary Thank You Event, Sept. 13, at the CCCIA Hall, 31528 Hwy. 72. There will be free food for everyone—including burgers, dogs, chips, the works—fun and games for the kids, at least three musical acts, amazing silent auction offerings to benefit flood victims, and some special guest appearances by local officials who want to thank first responders and volunteer organizations for their dedication.
“We expect it to be like the Fourth of July,” CCCIA Board Member Suzy Schemel said.
Organizers ask attendees to BYOB and a lawn chair. Contact Kate Tallman at krudasill (at) gmail.com to volunteer or to pass along any ideas or donations for silent auction items.
Everyone is invited to take part in a Flood Festival Planning Meeting, Sept. 2, at the CCCIA Hall.
