New Belgium Now the “Official Craft Beer Provider” of Winter Park Resort and Brewer of Mary Jane Ale
WINTER PARK, Colo. – Two Colorado icons have teamed up, as Winter Park Resort and New Belgium Brewing have entered a new partnership that makes New Belgium the “Official Craft Beer Provider” of Winter Park. As a result of the new relationship, New Belgium will now be the brewer of Mary Jane Ale, available exclusively at Winter Park Resort.
“For Mary Jane Ale, we wanted to brew a hop-forward beer with plenty of malty backbone,” said New Belgium Assistant Brewmaster, Grady Hull. “This beer features Cascade, Amarillo and Simcoe hops. It starts with notes of citrus, grapefruit and melon and finishes slightly bitter with malty sweetness as a counterpoint throughout.”
An array of New Belgium’s delicious offerings will be available on tap throughout the resort, including Fat Tire, Ranger, Shift, and of course Mary Jane Ale. Rotating seasonal and special brews will also be available at the new High Craft Bar located in Winter Park’s new Lunch Rock Restaurant atop Mary Jane Territory.
“As a beloved Colorado institution for 75 years, we’re delighted to join forces with a similarly iconic Colorado brand,” said Winter Park Vice President of Marketing & Sales Jodie Silva. “We feel that New Belgium represents the same core values as Winter Park Resort in providing a product that is world class while staying true to our foundation of commitment to our great state.”
“Winter Park is a Colorado institution and we’re delighted to be pouring our beers at the end of the day.” Said New Belgium Spokes Model, Bryan Simpson. “There is something absolutely blissful about riding and skiing hard all day and wrapping that up with a well-earned beer with friends.”
In addition to purveying New Belgium’s delectable beers, the new partnership allows Winter Park Resort to host a number of special events this winter, the first of which is the launch of New Belgium’s new Slow Ride Session IPA. On January 10-11, 25 beer connoisseurs will be transported by train from Denver’s Union Station to Winter Park Resort for a weekend of skiing and celebrating New Belgium’s latest masterpiece.
