WINTER PARK, Colo. – Winter Park Resort opened its summer operations Saturday, June 10 with a big kick-off weekend that included the 8th annual Winter Park Chocolate Festival and the opening of Trestle Bike Park.
Colorado’s premier mountain bike park, Trestle, opened for the season with a variety of trails for riders of all abilities. Thanks to the tireless work of the Trestle Trail Crew, many trails from Five Points and below will be open, including favorites Green World, Long Trail, and Rainmaker. The Zephyr Express and Eskimo Express lifts are also scheduled to be spinning.
As if that weren’t enough, all of the Winter Park base activities will also be open for the summer, including the state’s longest Alpine Slide, the 18-hole putting course, and human maze, just to name a few. All restaurants and shops in the Village will be open as well, including the new Waffle Cabin, providing plenty of options for eat and drink.
