Arapahoe Basin rated as one of North America’s ‘Top Overall Ski Areas’

SUMMIT COUNTY
Arapahoe Basin Ski Area (A-Basin) has been ranked among the top 10 ski areas in several categories according to Liftopia’s Best in Snow 2018 awards, including ranking #5 on the list of Top Overall Ski Areas in North America. Arapahoe Basin also received top ten honors for ski areas across North America for Best Value, Most Challenging, and Top Snow Consistency and Quality.

“We are honored to be listed among the top ski areas in North America as part of Liftopia’s Best in Snow awards, especially since these accolades are decided by the people who ski and ride here,” said Adrienne Saia Isaac, marketing and communications manager for Arapahoe Basin Ski Area.

“A-Basin is a special place, with some of the most exciting and scenic terrain in Colorado,” Isaac said. “We’re humbled to be stewards of such an exceptional mountain environment, and we’re fortunate to share the A-Basin experience with people who love this place as much as we do.”

To generate the Best in Snow winners, Liftopia compiled over 12,000 survey responses from consumers of every ability level who have skied or snowboarded anywhere from one to more than 15 days per season. Then, Liftopia weighed those results against an algorithm that took into account terrain acreage, number of skier visits and true cost of skiing at each mountain. More information about Liftopia’s methodology can be found here.
